Personal History: Scarlett was born in Scotland to Saffron and Macha Selwyn, two notorious blood purists and excelled practitioners of the Dark Arts. Macha Selwyn abandoned her family when Scarlett was five, leaving the girl to be raised by her surly father and aristocratic grandfather. Believing the rumours of the Dark Lord's return, Sage Selwyn took Scarlett to Norway when she was six in order to secure her safety. Saffron Selwyn was killed in the Second Wizarding War, leaving his belongings to the eight year old Scarlett. She and her grandfather remained in Norway after the war, and Scarlett attended Durmstrang Institute. At age sixteen, Scarlett was informed by her grandfather that they would be returning to Scotland, and that she would transfer to Hogwarts.
